Ray Tracing Black Screen

When I turn on ray tracing and load up worlds, everything runs fine until a few seconds or minutes pass. Randomly, the screen will go red and I can see a glitchy Minecraft logo pop up, then the screen will go black and it will only go back to normal after I press the ";" key to turn off the ray tracing. I have also noticed that when this happens the upscaling toggle locks itself off, even when I turn on ray tracing. Also, my graphics card has the newest game ready drivers so that isn't why, and i've seen other posts about people's textures going black but they can still see the sky, but for me i can't see the sky or textures and i can only see name tags and particle effects. EDIT 12/27/20: the problem is still occurring and i figured out that it is also doing the same thing in beta. Not to be rude, but i'm confused to as why some people post issues and get a response not even a day later while i've been waiting two weeks and still no response? Even if there isn't a fix i just want to know if other people are having the same issue.

I am having the same error. When raytracing is turned on, everything goes black, but the character can walk and act. Only textures of stars in the night sky are displayed. When I turn off raytracing, everything is displayed normally again.

I might have found something that leads to the solution. My GPU was overclocked to the max it could handle, which is what i thought, and i decided to unoverclock my GPU to see if it fixes the problem. After i did so, i was able to play on worlds for a long time without the black screen occurring. the reason I don't say this is a complete solution is because the black screen did occur one time after a few minutes of opening up a new downloaded world. Besides that one time, I was able to play on a world with my friends for over 4 hours and no black screen occured, which was a new record for me. So, maybe you just have to put less stress on your GPU and the black screen will go away.
