This bug is where the Nether's fog appears in the overworld. If you teleport to a friend entering the nether via a Nether portal, you will arrive in the Nether only to have the game crash. Reloading the world will put you back in the overworld, however, the fog of the Nether is also in the overworld.

Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).
