UPDATE: Shaders still not working, though I updated my graphic card's drivers. Worlds display normal, allows to apply specific textures, but not regular shaders. Not a problem on mobile devices, just Windows 10 Edition.

I've been having the same problem in older IOS versions. I previously owned an iPad 4 mini (2014), and had huge problems to enter to the app. Mayne its just the device. Could you add more info about your device?

Check the game's connection to internet.
If you are using cellular data, make sure your phone is set to allow Minecraft to use it in:
Minecraft´s Profile settings
Your phone settings
Yeah, remember it is "hideparticles: true" (not showparticles) to hide particles of any potion you must set it to "true."
