I have minecraft installed on Windows 10, Android and iOS. All devices are on the same network. The iPad cannot connect to world that are hosted on the PC and vice versa. No such issue occurs between the Android device an the PC.
This was working fine until a few weeks ago. All devices are fully up to date on their OS and minecraft versions. Everything has been rebooted but the problem remains.

I'm sorry, this is completely not resolved.
As explained in the initial comment, Minecraft on iOS cannot connect to another person's world hosted elsewhere and others cannot connect to one being played on the iPad.

Do you get any error messages?

No, just "Unable to connect to world"

I’ve been experiencing the same issues. It happens on both my switch and my iPad, and it only happens when trying to join one of my friends. Her settings are correct so that multiplayer is working, and everyone else can join her perfectly fine. The issue even happens while using the same wifi. I always get the same message “Unable to connect to world”.

Happening to me on switch!
