The game often crashes, but now I have lost 2 of my armored horses that I was riding when a crash occurred. I logged back into the world after the crash, and the horses were completely gone. This is extremely frustrating (and apparently a well-known issue) as now I've lost 2 of my best horses along with my best armor that they were wearing. Why has this fix not been addressed yet despite being reported for so long?
