This works the way it should work according to the Java version! (well, logically: when you shoot, you play the sound of the shot, which is captured by the rolling Sculk Sensor)

However, this issue is Working as Intended.
The report you have submitted is working as intended: Sculk Sensor is supposed to detect both the sound of shooting projectiles and the sound of them hitting blocks.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
