TNT exploding in water does zero damage to the player

The bug: when TNT is dispensed from a dispenser and falls into water, then explodes in the water next to the player, the player takes zero damage (even at point-blank range, with no armor)

How to reproduce:
1. place a water source block on the ground
2. place a dispenser 2 blocks above the water, facing downward, with 1 block of air in between the water and the dispenser
3. add TNT to the dispenser
4. stand next to the water, and activate the dispenser using redstone to make it dispense TNT
5. the TNT should be dispensed into the air, and then fall down into the water while it is primed
6. stay next to the TNT and wait for it to explode

Other conditions that produce the bug:
-also occurs when TNT explodes in flowing water
-also occurs when several TNT blocks explode simultaneously in water
-bug was reproducible in multiple worlds/realms

Probably intended according to wiki this was changed in 1.0.7, but I can't find an official source. https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Pocket_Edition_1.0.7

@bugsbugsbugs interesting point, but it looks like PE 1.0.7 is a pretty old version from April 2017. Can we be sure that this is still intentional behavior in the current version of Bedrock?

Also, according to the wiki page for TNT ( https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/TNT ): "When primed TNT detonates while in water or lava, it does not break any blocks. It does still damage players, mobs, and other entities." This is the behavior I recall from previous versions of the game (from what I remember). However, I can't find a source to confirm this either.

I'm curious what the current behavior is in Minecraft Java, could someone with the Java version test this out for comparison?

This bug still until now, not from dispenser, just place on water, explode it, and you not taking damaged.

There's a feature on education edition (Bedrock edition too) called "Underwater TNT". You can use it on water to break or kill any mob.

@bugsbugsbugs so the wiki TNT page is currently wrong?

Yes it is wrong, but keep in mind that the wiki is not a valid source of what is intended or not.
