the center cross, my hotbar, chat, and other on screen selections do not appear. I also cannot open anything like chests and I cannot hit or break items. it has been like this for a while and I do not know how to fix it, I have tried updating Minecraft and restarting the computer.

You are playing on minecraft bedrock,so go to pause menu you will see you name on top right corner make sure that you have operator feature on that is you will have a crown if you are operator if you don't have that you should click on that option beside your name and click on operator that only fixes you breaking placing or opening blocks and next go into setting there will be options like hide hud,hide hand make sure to switch them off then you will be able to see your hotbar and inventory.thank me later If it works.
