when i load on to a world on Minecraft ps4 it always switches back to the original character and when i try and change it to the skin I want to pick it don't work and every time I do it I reset my game and it still doesn't work.

Which skin are you using, somtimes if you are using a skin the server will reject the skin and give you the default skin.
