End World Portal not working

(i created a creative copy of the world to show in the video below)

I am wanting to return to the End City (Which was explored once before but only just after we defeated the Dragon.) but every time to throw my Pearl at the portal it throws me back to the portal to head home.

I was going to report the bug earlier because the second time I tried going through it gave me a very weird glitch where I was above the end and it shot me up into the void sky i think because i looked and the entire map was upside down and I couldn't pearl out fast enough. (lost so much good loot was very sad.)

I looked around on reddit and it mentioned this was a common bug also happening to people but I searched around the bug issues and didn't find anything regarding to it! I will try and test it out on a creative world and see if its just our map or if its just the game!
