Ok so I've been having this problem for weeks now, tried searching for a solution using google, this issue has been a problem since the January 7th update, I was unable to get the last free christmas gift because of it.
"We're unable to connect to the marketplace. Maybe check your internet connection?
My internet connection is working just fine. I'm able to play multi-player games and search the web from my Xbox. I only get this error if I try to access the Minecraft marketplace. I can't even get the luner new year freebie. I have a Xbox One also and I get the same error on it on both mine and my wife's profile. Please help.
