What kind of world are you trying to connect to (shared multiplayer, realm, bds, featured server)?

I start to play in minecraft. There are 3 tabs Worlds, Friends, Servers. On the friends tab, I find a friend and a connection. After some time, an error occurs: could not connect to the world. What's the trouble?
