Multiplayer minecraft pocket edition version 1.16 (android)

On 02/16/2021 my girlfriend and I bought minecraft from the play store so we can play online together since we don't live together, but so far we haven't been able to get into each other's world, whenever we try the message "it wasn't possible to connect to the world ", we have already created new worlds, we looked for tutorials on the forums and on youtube and nothing solved it, I don't know if it is a bug in the version, but a game that is famous for its online cooperative mode and does not work for no apparent reason, because our internets are very good, I play several games online without any problem, only in minecraft that has this, I would like an answer and if possible the correction of that.
