When i try and join my friends world it says locating server continuously on my screen but i appear in the world.

When I try and join my friend Minecraft world that we have both played on for a while it just says locating server coninusly on my screen but I appear in the world but I don't take damage or anything. When I join it gives them lag. I am on Bedrock on PC and they are on Bedrock consol if that changes anything.
