Low FPS with Geforce RTX cards when using HD Texture Pack

Hi,

I have issue with Minecraft performance when using an Nvidia RTX graphics card and a HD Texture Pack (Chroma Hills HD). I have only tested with Chroma Hills but when using an Nvidia  RTX graphics card the FPS in some areas of the game falls to 15FPS. The RTX card is a 2080 Super.

If I switch the graphics card out for a Nvidia GTX 980 or a AMD Radeon RX570 the issue with performance disappears and the FPS in all areas maxes out at the max refresh rate of the monitor.

In the case of the RTX 2080 Super and the GTX 980 they used the same NVIDIA driver.

Given the RTX card is a vastly more powerful card this should not be the case. Can you please advise if there is any known issues with these cards. I can provide more details if necessary.
