So dolphins in bedrock dont seem to identify an obstacle in front of them which leads to drowning. Which is very upsetting because im building a huge habitat right now andd it sucks seeing them drown. If you want to recreate the environment then place dolphins in a large enclosed area and have some form of tall obstacle in the middle of it you might need more than one obstacle in the water. Also multiple dolphins are a good way to get the result faster. In my case they seem to get stuck in either coral or the glass structure as seen below.

My God, this is sad to look at.
Is this still an issue in the latest version? If so, can you add it to the affected versions?

Yes it is still an issue and has not been resolved

Confirmed

Affects education edition
For me the dolphins don't come up for air even though I made the enclosing really big. They also just crash into walls and spin around in seagrass. Other fish also spin around in seagrass and kelp.

Alexander Wang it affects normal Minecraft too

Still happens in 1.19.81

For anyone wondering this is still an issue in 1.20.41
