When you place items in a chest, then save the game, reload it then try to crash the game. Go back to the game then take items out of the chest. Then go and save the game and reload. The items should be back in the chest and in your hotbar.

This is for windows 10 edition, which we can't get the lock screen on. That is why crashing the game is another method for this.

If you not finished read the description first, the reason is "the system closed the game". The lockscreen just tutorial for mobile users!
