EDIT: DUPLICATE
For some reason after updating to the newest version (1.16.210), we are unable to join multiplayer servers on Xbox One. We have confirmed with the custom server owners that they are up to date on their end, and I assume featured servers are also up to date. However, trying to access any of them prompts the error “Could not connect: Outdated server!” after only a few seconds. Further attempts result in a connection time out. Server accessibility is normal on Windows 10 and Pocket Edition. This issue may extend to PS4 as well. Attached images are the usual server selection screen, as well as the error that appears once “Join Server” is selected
