A friend who logged in to the server, using the same PSN account and Microsoft account as always, has been treated as a new player by the game and has lost all his inventory and access to his Ender Chest inventory as well - as expected. Rolling back the save file has not worked, and he has attempted to log out and back in several times. Unfortunately, there is no "emergency cheat mode" that won't ruin trophies on the save file permanently, so without using a third-party application to edit the save file and re-associate his old inventory with what is probably a mistakenly assigned new player ID, I can't help him.

Im having the same issue when my kids join me. They are at spawn and inventory is empty. They have there own xbox one accounts as well.

It's on their own system, their own account, with their own paid subscription to PS+.
We since made a copy of the world and changed to Creative temporarily to mess around in our weekly sessions rather than continue on the original one with cheats enabled.

I searched, but the search function never returned that particular bug. I used a variety of terms, hoping the issue was already resolved with some kind of work-around I could instantly use.
I'm curious to know, was your friend playing on their system or was it local multiplayer?
I'm having the same issue on a long term vanilla world local multiplayer. Never had this issue until they signed in today, which is the first time since last Sunday. Wondering if it's an update issue seeing as 1.16.210 dropped a few days ago.
