When Joining a shared network survival game and trying to open a chest (created by another player) on that world the client will exit without errors. This in either direction, iPad -> iPhone 4S or iPad -> iPhone 4S.

thanks for the suggestion but no other apps are open and I have rebooted both devices ....and only crashes when opening a chest.
My kids found this same bug this morning. Both using an ipod touch 4th gen, both updated to MCPE 0.6. When the visiting player in a wi-fi game touches one of the host's chests, the game crashes, exits. Host can use chests with no problem. "Closing" Minecraft from the task switcher and restarting has no effect, chest touching crash still occurs.
This is on an "exiting" world from 0.5, have not yet tried on a new world generated in 0.6.
Thanks for the Confirmation Phil, let's hope the bug track sticks π would love to get back to multi-player with all the cool new bits the Mojang guys have added π
I am having this issue as well. It was NOT FUN losing all of my items!!!! By the way, the 6.1 patch update for the android isn't out yet...
Q: When will the update be out for IOS devices?
A: Hopefully very soon! It's submitted, and fingers crossed it gets through quickly.
Until 0.6.1 has passed review, iOS users should please restart the game between plays (that means, don't enter a world TWICE without closing/restarting the app) to avoid trouble with multiplayer or unsaved changes.
Try closing all your apps and launch Minecraft again. I'm having issues when having other apps in the background too
