Extreme unexplainable lag and delay on Minecraft Bedrock edition

As soon as I open the  Minecraft app I notice extreme unexplainable lag even in the menu screen. When play a world it's just as bad. I have a good rig, I was able to run Minecraft Bedrock Edition very smoothly in the past with maxed out video settings. After a few months, I decided to play Minecraft again, but this time I couldn't, the lag is too high to be playable. There is also a delay of one second when I do any action in game. I don't know if this is a problem with the new update since I haven't played Minecraft in the past months. But I also tested other games which are more resource demanding and there was no lag there. I also have the newest version of Nvidia Graphic Drivers. What could be the problem here? I couldn't find any answers online up to this moment.
