Marketplace on iPad

Sinne the last update my kid isn’t able to connect to the marketplace or get access to his earlier purchases. The game states that there is something wrong with the connection, but everything else on the iPad works fine.
Kind of a big problem when he uses all off his money on the game but now can’t use any of it.

What is the exact message you are seeing, including any error code/number?

“We’re unable to connect to the Marketplace. Maybe check your internet connection?” 
It won’t stop loading after this message, but it doesn’t lead anywhere either. We have contacted the support, about 2-3 weeks ago, but no response there.
