Workaround
For some cases, completely closing/exiting Minecraft on the device will allow online content to be accessed again.
You may also need to enable (or disable?) local network access in your device settings: see this comment
To help narrow down this issue, please add information if these steps do not work for you.
Starting a couple weeks ago, I have been unable to access any online content in Minecraft. This includes, but is not limited to: achievements, marketplace content, realms, and multiplayer content. I have ensured multiple times that my iPad is fully connected to the Internet and everything else works fine. Help would be appreciated.
note: I have managed to find a temporary fix. By logging out and logging back in again it is fixed, however the problem eventually occurs again.

I'm having the same issue, I restarted the app multiple times, verified that my microsoft account was connected, even un installed and redownloaded the game and I am still unable to access the marketplace, my minecoins, my skins, or any resource packs I've purchased. (I am on android however not ios)
For those affected by this bug, could you please mention which device you are using (specific device and OS version, if possible please.)

Mega_Spud I play on Huawei Y5 android, and I have been experiencing this bug.

my devices that I’m seeing this issue is an Apple iPhone 6XS Max, IOS 14.2. My other device is a Lenovo ThinkPad Windows 10 Pro 64 bit version 1909

My device is an iPhone 7 on iOS 14.0.1 and Minecraft version 1.16.50.

I use an iPad 6 with IPadOS 14.2 and Minecraft version 1.16.50. I’m not currently affected by the issue as trying to log out and back in to my account didn’t work (my password was not accepted despite it having been the same thing since I’ve made the account and I typed it in several times so there wasn’t a type) and so I’ve created a new temporary one until this gets fixed, but I would like to have all of my old purchases and achievements back, so here I am. But if you don’t care about any of that, creating a new account does fix the issue it seems.
Could you include any more information about your internet connection? Does this happen on mobile data or WiFi, and does switching internet connection make any difference?
@unknown - your issue sounds like it might be slightly different, you might need to get in touch with Minecraft Customer Support directly to request help with your account and purchases.

I have the same problem on WiFi (I don’t have a mobile plan for this device). iPad Air 2, iPadOS 13.6.1, Minecraft v1.16.50

I am having the same problem on my mobile game. The only resolution is to uninstall the app and reinstall it again, but I only get one chance to pplay per install. Each time I close the app and open it again, I can no longer access online content or features until I uninstall and reinstall. I am playing on android. My internet connection is fine as I am logged into my minecraft/xbox account with my avatar loaded correctly. When I switch from wifi to mobile data it makes no difference. I have tried force stopping the app, restarting my phone and the only thing that works is reinstalling the app from google play store.......and resetting all of my settings all over every time I want to play.

Is this gonna get fixed anytime soon for smartphones? I can't buy any new worlds and I can't access the ones I have previously purchased. If I un-install it from my phone I lose the worlds I had downloaded before. Its been months now- this is a major bug that's not getting fixed. What do we have to do to escalate this issue?

Hey everyone, I don’t know if this works for you but I was able to find a temporary fix. If you log out of your account and then log back in it should work. Unfortunately, the issue occurs again after a while.

We think this issue could be related to a new iOS 14 privacy setting for Local Network access. If you go to your settings app and select "Minecraft" from the list of apps, you should see a screen like this:

Make sure that the toggle for "Local Network" is on.
Please let us know if this resolves the issue.

om my Ipad, Local network is 'on' but still no connection is made
Ad Seelt

I’m not seeing that setting on my iPad. I saw the same problem on 13 before I updated to iOS 14. Reinstalling didn’t work. I don’t have access to any of my purchases.

Did anyone find a solution yet? Mine is doing the exact same thing. I noticed my local network was off and I turned it back on but its still not working. I cant access the market or anything online for minecraft

Still having the issue even after the Minecraft update on the iPad from 12/8/20. No solution yet? I can't access Marketplace, can't join servers or realms, etc. It's as if Minecraft doesn't realize we are connected to WiFi. Please help us!

I have the same problem and having been missing out on the fun
ive been playing on the ipad 5 gen

I had a similar resolution by logging out and back in. It has not reoccurred for me yet.

I have the same problem please can you help as to how to fix this I’m on an I pad

@Austin Gripentrog: for your issue on Switch see MCPE-111640.

This problem just started happening for me yesterday 1/27/2021, I’m afraid to log out and back in. I’ve had to do that in the past and have ended up losing everything.

I'm on a iPhone 7 Plus that’s on iOS 14.4

Ive been having the same problem ever since i got the game, i play on an iphone 11 thats on iOS 14.2

I am on iPhone 11 and having the same issue, marketplace will not load and it says that servers are coming soon.

I am on an iPhone Xs and facing the same issue.
OS Version: iOS 14.3
Minecraft version: v1.16.201

Same issue.
ipad mini 8th generation
iOS: 14.4.1
Minecraft Version: v1.16.210

I’m using version 1.16.210 with an iPad iOS version 14.4.1. The workaround doesn’t work at all. Tried to log out several times and also restarting the iPad in between. Nothing works.

I’m on iPhone 11 and I’m experiencing the same thing. It doesn’t help to log out and back in again.

I am having this same issue on both 2018 iPad Pro and also 2021 iPad Pro. No luck logging out and logging back in again, and none of the other suggested workarounds fixed the issue, either. iPad (sixth generation) connected to the same wifi has no trouble getting into Marketplace.
Minecraft Version 1.16.221
iOS Version 14.6

Hello
I had the same issue for months on both my childrens Ipads.
I read the comments about enabling Local Network access, I checked, mine was already enabled. I disabled it and now Marketplace works fine on both.
Not sure why but kids are happy.

I have the same problem. For almost a year online content is literally unusable. I have coins I want to spend on sales and I can’t. That’s just sad. How come such a big company can’t resolve such an issue on such a big platform.
Hardware: iPhone 11 Pro 256GB
soft: iOS 14.6
doesn’t matter if it cellular or mobile data being connected

iPad2 Air, 4th generation 256 gb, software recently updated v14.7.1. The Minecraft version: v1.17.11. Wi-fi: Broadband
My daughter got a new iPad Air over the weekend. The good news is that everything transferred over from her old iPad just fine. The bad news is that she is now unable to get into Marketplace to purchase more worlds. She is still able to get into Marketplace on her old iPad though. All that we see on her new iPad is: "We're unable to connect to the Marketplace. Maybe check your internet connection?"
We restarted the new iPad, Minecraft, and the internet multiple time, as well as enabled and disabled LAN. The internet connection is fine, and able to access other games and use other apps like Spotify on her new iPad. She simply cannot get into Marketplace. I've written to Mojang's customer service and both replies I received were unsatisfactory -asking me to restart, etc, and giving me instructions that don't correspond to the iPad interface. Disappointing. Was told to log out and log back into Microsoft, but she has never had to sign into a Microsoft account, and doesn’t even have one through Microsoft.
For my autistic teen, Minecraft is a big part of her life and this problem is seriously stretching her. Minecraft has been her best friend (in a world where she finds it difficult to make real friends). I truly hope Mojang will find a suitable fix soon.

I had this problem too on my iPad. iOS 14.7.1, Minecraft 1.17.11.
After reading this thread, I did the following to get it working for me:
Disabled Local Network Access from the permissions menu (it was already enabled)
Loaded the game. It still didn't work.
Went back to permissions and re-enabled Local Network Access
Loaded the game. This time the Marketplace works as expected
So it clearly has something to do with Local Network Access, but unlike others in this thread I needed to toggle it off and on again to get things to work.

For you guy who still can't connect to Marketplace, I found another way that help me success to connect it.
From above comment to disabled and enable 'Local Network Access' you also have to disable the 'Cellular Data'.
After connect you you can enable it back.

iPhone 12 iOS 14.7.1
IPad Air 4th gen iOS 14.6
Minecraft PE:iOS v 1.17.11
I tried toggling everything
Deleting and reinstalling app
Signing in and out of Microsoft account
Disabling and enabling LAN
Disabling and enabling Cellular Data
NONE of it has worked. This has clearly been an issue since the update which is really frustrating. Hope there is a fix to this issue soon

None of the above advice has worked 4 me, its clearly an issue on the minecraft side. Can we please get it fixed? I have a very upset 5 year old. Thank you.

None of this has worked over here either. This is on the IPAD OS 14.7.1. Minecraft version 1.17.11. What other suggestions do you have?

Same issue here. None of the above workarounds worked. Minecraft version 1.17.11, iPad Mini 5th gen, iOS 14.8.
I even reset the whole iPad back to factory settings and installed Minecraft from scratch. Same problem.
Can anything be done for this?

Same issue here.
Mincraft 1.17.30, ipad air (4 th generation). IOS 15.
Used everyway I can think about to fix it, nothing worked.
I saw that this problem is been over one year and still not been resolved, no one can fix it???

I had this happening to my ipad for a month or more. I managed to get it working after doing a couple of things (not sure what order). I changed my ipad wifi to connect to my iphone data hotspot instead. I also went into mc settings/profile and logged out and pressed the clear sign in data button. After restarting the minecraft app, I signed in again and was able to get the store to work. Then without closing mc, I turned off my phone hotspot and the ipad auto connected back to my home wifi and stayed working after that. I did this for my 2 kids as well. I had to try a couple times in whatever order but either one or both changing the wifi connection and signing completely out and in did fix it for our 3 ipads.

I’ve tried everything. Resetting the app, my phone, signing out and back in. Nothing has worked. This has happened before and it worked after signing out and back in but its not working this time. It loads a little letting me go onto the marketplace but everything is just loading and then if I click something to purchase it says to check my internet.

iOS 15, iPad and iPhone XS Max
Tried quitting/restarting – did not work
Tried resetting network settings – did not work
Verified local network access in Minecraft settings – still did not work
Deleted and reinstalled Minecraft – still did not work
Can access online games/realms, but nothing in Marketplace loads.

Reported fixed in 1.17.32 changelog: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4410304508429-Minecraft-1-17-32-Bedrock-
