The shield texture doesn't load properly. It just shows the purple texture and not the shield texture. I'm using the plastic texture pack. It hasn't always done this until recent updates. Some text shows up when I load the texture pack. It tells me that the texture for the boat and shield haven't been found. The boat doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it (or at least from what I've seen).
Sorry if this is a repost, just wanted to make sure it was out there.
Just load the plastic texture pack and while it's loading it should give you the two messages.
Loading the texture pack into any world will make the shield turn pink.
Previous versions would load the proper plastic shield texture. (The new screenshot is from an older version of minecraft and taken on april 2020)

This is a texture pack issue then. I don't know if this report is valid since it is a texture pack causing the issue but the texture pack is by Minecraft so...
