The bug
When exiting a boat on a lower half slab and packed ice boat highway with fences on the sides, there is a chance that the player will fall through the highway. This can be deadly if it is over a lava ocean in the Nether (like mine).
How to reproduce
Build a boat highway consisting packed ice with lower half slabs between the packed ice blocks.
I have stone fences on either side. Not sure if this is necessary.
Stop boat about half way between the packed ice blocks.
Exiting will either put the player on the fences or under the highway.
I will try to attach a clip showing this. Found this bug by accident when I decided to finally label my nether highways. Exiting a boat to change highways I fell through and landed in a very large lava ocean and died.

This issue is similar to what is reported at MCPE-120078 but I'm not sure it should be tracked as the same bug. There the issue is that the new exit behavior makes it difficult or impossible to eject mobs/players where you want to, in some cases preferring to kill the mob/player. Here the issue is that the exit behavior can drop the player right through solid-surface blocks.

Is this still an issue for you? I could not reproduce it on my end.

It still happens, but needs very specific circumstances. If a boat stops halfway between ice blocks, the game seems to try to put the player on the bottom of the the bottom slab. This leads to the player falling through. Here is a video (hopefully) that I just took of this happening.

Hi
Can you please attach copy of world with your construction to help us reproduce this issue. If it exceeds file size limit you can use OneDrive or similar file hosting service and share link.
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Attached is (hopefully) a link to the world. I've had this world for a while, this is one of several creative copies for experimentation. There are signs at spawn and in the nether to allow quick teleporting. The boat needs to be almost exactly in the middle of the two ice blocks to trigger the issue. I hopped out of the boat before hitting the fence and accidently found this bug. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoqW5KFanRjngckqlZywlb8_PPtSmg?e=Qo6Udj I saved this copy with my username for ease of organization, maybe? I tend to play in peaceful, hence the lack of spawn proofing that will be evident in the world.
