[MCPE-124319] Water inexplicably disappeared from skeleton spawner water trap after last update

water trap built around a skeleton spawner, water causes skeletons to fall off precipice to their death. It's been working great for weeks. Worked yesterday, today the water is gone, skellys just milling around not falling off.

I am wearing boots with frost walker 2 on them, but never in the water area of the water trap, although sometimes 4 levels directly above or many many levels directly below. Does frost walker extend so far down? (I don’t see ice in the trap area)

You say you were above and below the spawner with frost walker boots on. If you were traveling up and down within 7 blocks of the water sources wearing while wearing frost walker II boots then you froze the water sources. In the screenshot, it sure likes like ice at the back of the spawn area.
