Bought Minecraft pretty recent. Built some stuff together with my kid, everything seemed to work normal.
Yesterday, after an automatic update of Minecraft (I open Minecraft and see something like "welcome to the XXXX update, bugs fixed......" with the only option to click "ok", I click and continue playing from where I was. To my surprise, I couldn't put paintings on blocks anymore.
1. Aquire painting from menu (in creative mode)
2. Put it on wall (the avatar move and the sound is normal)
3. Painting doesn't show.
4. If I "break" the painting, it shows normal (falling small bits of material), and on places where the "invisible" painting is, the blocks don't show borders between each-others.
I've seen several others reporting this issue and appears as "resolved" but I can't find how was resolved and how to fix it.

"Please note that "Resolved" does not mean the issue has been fixed."
But then what it means? Is there a fix for this? Is there an answer beside "this is a duplicate"?
