Redstone current not going through opaque blocks.

A redstone signal is not going through blocks it should.
How to reproduce: place something that give of a redstone signal, then place redstone dust, then an opaque block such as dirt or sand, and then place another redstone dust or something that receives a signal on the other side. It should get powered.
(It used to work in this update but not it doesn't.)
(sorry if this was already reported, it was not letting me search.)

Works As Intended. Those opaque blocks in your setup are only weakly-powered so they cannot power other redstone dust. See Redstone_circuit#Power

Thanks PHO, as he said, it does work as intended

Closed to reflect that it works as intended

Oh I see. I knew blocks like lamps worked so I assumed redstone dust should also work.
