Since we updated my Nintendo Switch, Minecraft has not been launching fully and the progress bar stops at the half-way point. The game now never fully starts anymore.

@Andexter This is different though, it freezes at the halfway point on the Switch and never moves, which means it requires me to fully shut down my Nintendo Switch.

I also am having the same issue. It will crash even before the Mojang logo will pop up after launching the game. There's been one time where it didn't and just loading onto the title screen took roughly about 15 minutes.

Huh that's interesting...if possible can anyone just use some short of phone or tablet to take a picture/video of this bug? Because I tried doing it on Nintendo Switch, but that just straight up freezed the entire console. Besides, some video or photo evidence won't hurt, and will help a lot.

I can look to provide a short video clip, just to be completely clear on what this bug is. But basically Minecraft will not load on the Nintendo Switch since updating the Switch console to 1.16.221

Ok, so I recorded some video footage, but then I realized that on handheld mode, the game will launch just fine. However on TV mode, it freezes the Switch completely. So my guess is that a temporary fix for the bug is to launch Minecraft in handheld mode, then you can play the game over on TV just fine. Try to see if that works.

I'm experiencing this bug as well. Had to do a full and manual shut down on the Switch because this screen caused the entire console to crash.
