Do you have any resource packs enabled? If so, does disabling them fix the issue?

oh thx sorry if i waisted your time

Regarding reporters comment closing as cannor reproduce.

Reopened because I can confirm in 1.16.221 Hotfix.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Starting at the main menu, click the Profile button.

  2. With the first character selected, click Edit Character > Body > Base.

  3. Click the first component slot.

Expected result:

  • The component name (in the bottom box) displays Alex. (See attachment.)

  • The skin changes to show the standard Alex character appearance.

Actual result:

  • The component name displays Alex, as expected.

  • The skin remains as Steve except that the beard stubble is gone and the mottling of the skin on the arms is different. It appears that changing from Steve to Alex stops before hair and clothing components are applied.

Note: This could be working as intended, given that components for Alex's hair and clothes can be applied to make the character look very much like the default Alex (with slightly different colors). However, it's still a problem that the default character still looks like Steve while the component name for the base body type is saying "Alex".

Linked to MCPE-120092, which reports the same problem in reverse (an Alex who looks like Steve).

In earlier versions of Minecraft, the Steve and Alex defaults were fully composed images, what are now called Classic Skins. When the Character Creator was added, they were redesigned as characters so you could customize them. This issue is a consequence of that redesign.

Steve and Alex are no longer complete skins. Instead, the game now represents them as a collection of Character Creator components. You can see this by getting into the Character Creator editor and selecting the Body section. In the Base selector, the first two choices are Alex and Steve. Similarly, in the Hair and Mouth sections you can choose Alex's Hair and Steve's Mouth, etc. There are also some components like this in the Style section, such as Alex's Shirt

But this makes it possible to have a character that looks mostly like Steve but has Alex's shirt, for example.. And because your profile remembers all your component choices for each of your 5 characters, simply changing the Base component from Steve to Alex doesn't change the Hair to Alex's Hair, the Mouth to Alex's Mouth, or the Top to Alex's Shirt. So the character still looks like Steve, mostly.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that people don't really grasp what the Base component actually does. Partly, that's because we don't associate the word "base" with any body part or piece of clothing, like we do with all the other component categories, and partly it's because their base components are simply named "Alex" and "Steve", which conditions us to expect the old default skins. In reality, these base components only select a few subtle elements of appearance such as skin smoothness and facial stubble, as far as I can tell.

The developers have told us they're aware that this has been causing some confusion, and they're considering ways to address the problem. My personal guess is that they might give us a couple of buttons somewhere that let us reset a slot to a complete default Alex or Steve character.

In the mean time, this is working as intended. They're working on a design change to address the confusion, but this is not really a bug, so I'm going to close this report again while we wait for whatever new feature they give us.
