I walked into my nether portal in the overworld and I got teleported away from where I would regularly be teleported to when going into the nether. I did notice that the coordinates of this new portal was only about 10 block off on the Y and X from the coordinates of my nether portal in the overworld I had just went through, also going back through the new portal placed me 10,000 blocks away from the portal I originally went through at my base.
