Chain glows with RTX turned on... sometimes

I'm putting together a RTX texture pack and chain seems to completely ignore the MER properties.

I've textured over 600 blocks for RTX fine but cannot figure out what chains problem is. Depending where it is placed in the world, either both parts of the texture will glow, only one of them will glow, or it'll look how it is supposed to.

Even if I put the MER properties into the .json file manually, in any combination, it makes no difference and the texture still has a mind of its own.

I can't come up with any common denominator of when it'll decide to glow and when it'll look normal because sometimes I can open the world one day and the chain in my build is glowing then come back a different day and it is looking like it should.

Same applies to the shininess. Sometimes it'll be super shiny looking like polished metal and then other times dull like rusty metal.

Here's a quick video showing the bug:

I think the problem is that the part that you want to flow and the part you don't want to flow are the same part. Also I do like how you are texturing everything. It looks good.ย

The part I want to flow? If by flow you mean glow, I don't want any of it to glow but it seems to have other plans haha. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello,

This bug is still present in the latest 1.17 version.

Another thing I noticed is when a torch is placed near the chain the whole chain will light up regardless if there are blocks in between them blocking the light.

Here is a link to the pack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZInHO_iyS_EKFDlppuRp3JHwX1td6zVD/view?usp=sharing

This has happened to myself on many occasions, and I have not been able to find a method to reproduce it. All I know is that it seems to happen in random specific locations and at random times.
