I entered my end portal and spawned in the end islands, near the bottom of a big island

I was gonna go to the end to get endstone, when I got there, I spawned in a random location, I thought I was in the bottom of the end island but when I went up, I saw chorus plants. I started to get scared, I didn't want to lose my armor and items, my elytra was also about to break (yellow color)I was alone in my world and couldn't get help, I walked for a bit looking for an end gate way, luckily, there was an end gate way just a few hundred blocks away. I can't provide a picture because I panicked and also don't know how to send images from a switch to a phone, even if I do I won't have the supplies. Help pls, I'm scared going back to the end now 😕
