So I was playing a singleplayer world and found a ruined portal with a chest with four obsidian in it. I broke one crying obsidian and replaced the missing blocks with obsidian and lit it. But when I went into the nether... there was no portal. So my world is currently nether only until I can find obsidian, flint, and iron.

It's similar but I didn't go into the portal twice nor am I using 1.17 beta.

That ticket is not specific to the beta. If you believe your issue is different please provide exact coordinates for the portal in the overworld and the coordinates where you appeared in the nether.

I'd like to know how to find my cords then. I don't see coordinates in the upper left like 115933.

In your game Settings toggle the "Show Coordinates" setting.

It seems like it was a one time bug, after going into the portal again after dying, it made a portal
