I logged off safe in my friends house and when i logged on the next day it took me back to my spawn and all of my stuff had disappeared, including all my enchanted netherite and all my tools with max enchantments. I am 100% sure i didn't die and if i did then there was no "you died" screen to inform me and everything despawned.
