When I travel through the nether portal my playstation comes up with an error message and I have to restart it again. I have usually lost some progress aswell or I’m not where I was when it crashed. Its only been since the 1.17 update. My system is upto date.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. Is this still an issue in the latest version (1.17.10)? If so, can you please add it to the affected versions (or mention it if you are not the reporter).
