As shown, 1.16.220's version number is 971622002,but 1.17.0's version number is 951700002,The installation prompts that the demotion installation cannot be installed.

Windows 10 always shows a build version with incorrect numbers. Your splash screen shows the correct version, but because of how Microsoft has updated Minecraft in the past, Windows 10 install number is 1.17.2.0 but the game build is still 1.17.0.. on PS4/5 it is 2.89 or something like that but it is still 1.17.0 on the game splash screen.. to my knowledge it is connecting with everything correctly on my end, Android, PS4 and PS5, Windows 10 in my house and neighbors all connect well.. then again, none of us has a Switch or iOS device.. those devices inherently have problems with Minecraft..
