Signs still don't work for kindle fire on 0.13.2

When I type a sign and place it I can't see the text or I have to get really close to read it I have only seen it on kindles

I expected to see a sign with words but is blank.
This has been happening for years and I expected tommaso to figure something out by now but still hasn't.
You make a sign type it place it down and its blank.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. First get a kindle fire hd
2. ... Go onto minecraft and type and place a sign
3. ...when you place it it should say nothing then get very close to it at a curtain angle and you should see a little of it.
