I don't know if this was intended by Mojang, but I can now find Emeralds in Mountains way too often now. I can find exposed Emeralds in the mountains and the Emerald veins are more than just one. Weren't they supposed to only generate in veins of one?

As of 1.17, emeralds will now generate in larger veins.

This is intended not a bug!

I had an actual bug. I once saw an emerald vein on the ground in a mountain biome.
Okay, to clear anything up, is it only happening when enabling Caves & Cliffs toggle?

Yes I didn't know that they generate more often now. It is only happening with the caves and cliffs toggle
Based on the further analysis in the code, I can confirm that the emerald ore generation has been changed for extreme hills specifically, that it generates exactly the same as if it is in the new mountain biomes. To work around this issue, the ore generation may have to match with the older emerald ore generation in the extreme hills or to remove the emerald ore generation from the extreme hills biome completely to only generate in the new mountain biome and to match Java.
Still an issue in the latest 1.18.0.20 beta.
