Editions is only temporal in the New Minecraft

So last March, on my PlayStation4, an update was held, when I opened the update 1.96, it changed the console edition to bedrock edition, I had the editions button that let me go back to playing the old console edition. A few days later, it was gone permanently and I can’t get it back, it has been like that for over a year and there is no way for me to get it back. I don’t know how that happened, I don’t have any photos of this pulled up last year
