I made a portal and it generated properly in the Nether, but when I returned to the overworld my portal was in a totally different location, and the one I had made was still there, but not linked up properly for my return. I looked under the new generated portal and there was not a ruined portal underneath it either, sometimes while returning from nether the portals will link up to existing ruined portals in the overworld and that is why I checked under the newly generated one.

This issue is not working as intended in my world! It is not resolved at all for me either, before the last 3 beta updates all my portals linked perfectly now I go through my Nether portals I am in a totally random location from where I entered! Going into the Nether from a portal I built works fine it is when I return that a random portal generates where I never built it I want to return to where I entered! This issue as I stated is NOT working as intended!

Unless you provide the exact coordinates of the portals (where you step in, and where you exit) we cannot determine if you are having a different issue. As described, your issue seems to be the same as MCPE-39609. Be sure to read the note on that ticket if you have not already.

I step in at 523/71/-330 In the Nether I am at 79/83/-26, when I step back in to get to my base I am at 635/71/-193. Adding a note here This has never happened before to me. I have never had to break my portals and put them in any other positions at all until now it has always worked out that I am at my same portal I build at my base when I return from the nether.

When you enter your first portal at 523/71/-330 from the Overworld, the calculated equivalent coordinates in the Nether are 65/71/-41. The portal at 79/82/-26 is within the search area (nominally 128 blocks), so the game will take you to that portal, as you observed.
When you return, the calculated coordinates in the Overworld are 632/82/-208. This is outside the search area (again, nominally 128 blocks) and so the game creates a new portal in the Overworld.
What most players will do to control portal linking is to calculate the exact corresponding X/Z coordinates and rebuild the portal on the Nether side at those coordinates. In your case, you should be able to move the portal to 65/??/-41 and have it work as you desire.

I believe that is correct, I still wonder why this never happened to me before.
