Ray Tracing not transitioning day to night properly.

Recently, I finally updated to a new 3060 RTX Laptop.

Anyhow, there seems to be a delay of when light levels drop. It would already be night, but still bright as day, with several hostile mobs already spawning in.

When the light levels finally do drop, it often seems like an instant transition from bright to very dark. Is Ray Tracing supposed to work like this? 

It seems like Ray Tracing may need a fix to simulate evening & morning properly to get a better transition from day to night & night to day?
