Whenever I and my friends play multiplayer (whether it be in a private world or a realm it does this in either one) a lot of things will glitch out, for example when having a shield equipped in the off-hand, it will do things like clips through our torso or our head, and often obstruct vision (it's a glitch that both parties can usually see), and there was even an instance where our dogs were all floating for no reason, but their hitboxes were still normal (I didn't see the floating dog my friend did but the dog's hitbox was still on the ground where it should have been sitting if that makes sense) and it's really weird and only happens in multiplayer, nothing fixes this. (I don't have screenshots yet I need my friend to send me them, will update once I hate them)
