This was weird. I am using a Nimbus controller (if that has any effect to the problem, I don't know) but I was walking across the ground and then suddenly I'm riding in my boat! The time of day didn't seem to change, I just was in my boat unexpectedly.
I have been playing this world for a while and this is the first time this has happened.
