Unloading a chunk while a block is being pushed by a piston causes it to bug out

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Time unloading a chunk perfectly so that a block is moving right as the chunk unloads

Expected Results:

  • The block finishes being pushed when the chunk is loaded again

Observed Results:

  • The block becomes bugged and is impossible to destroy/replace

Notes

The bugged blocks cannot be destroyed, built directly on, selected, moved, or interacted with in any way. They support fallen blocks for about a minute before the gravity blocks break themselves. They cannot be walked into, which suggests that they have a hitbox, but when trying to mine them, you mine the blocks behind it.
