__I tried to put a name on a name tag using an anvil. Everything looks like normal until you tap the name tag to complete it. Then all the letters are exchanged with hash tags.

@unknown: Are you playing in a solo world or in Realms? Will the word (which you write in the anvil) also turn into hashtags if you write it on a sign or in a book?
Maybe this is the problem of censoring words in Realms REALMS-3491

I had the same issue. Renaming worked when I shortened the name.
