Can't use shears to stop plant growth

Summary:

In the Java version, there was a change for some plants:

  • Using shears on the tip of a Cave Vine, Twisting Vine, Weeping Wine or Kelp now causes it to stop growing

In the bedrock version, the plants do not stop growing when using the shears on the plants.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Place Cave Vine, Twisting Vine, Weeping Wine or Kelp.

  2. Try to "prune" the placed plant.

Observed results:

The plant is still growing.

Expected results:

The plant will not grow.

this is also an issue seen in Java. left click with sheers to prune, right click on tip of plant with the shears .. hear its snip, only to have it continue to grow. hopefully this adds new information.

This is not a problem in java version 1.18

Still not working as intended

Still a problem in 1.19...

Still not working in 1.19.2 - and there is no ability to even left click them with shears in bedrock/windows10 edition. This issue exist both in my realm and personal creative test worlds. Steps to reproduce: create a creative world on bedrock/windows10 edition (either flat or infinite will work), build up a few blocks to create a block to attach the initial glow berries, manually increase glow berries to desired length, attempt to left click/ left trigger with shears (it will not let you interact). You can outright shear the glow berries but this does not inhibit growth. Optional* you can increase tick speed to limit wait time to see the glow berries grow. past the desired length.
