Chests in Realms automatically open and stay open as I join the game

Me and a friend were playing on a realms server made by her, and i noticed that everytime that I join the server, her chest automatically opens as if someones looking in it, but no one is. When someone does look in it and then gets out of it, it just stays open. I'd imagine this means that the game thinks that when my player I'd is set to active, meaning I've joined the game, the chest believes that it is getting used, so it automatically opens it. I asked her if it was doing it when I wasn't in the game and she said no
