[Experimental] Mobs exclusive to certain biomes spawning in areas they aren't supposed

Summary:

Mobs can spawn in the wrong biome. So far, I've only seen this problem with wolves, but maybe this applies to some other mobs as well.

For example, wolves can only spawn in the taiga, but in the seed below they are generated in the jungle. This is also a problem for the java version MC-236897.

Seed: 63654350
Coords: -5643 83 -226

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a world with the specified seed.

  2. Teleport to the specified coordinates.

  3. Look at the small clearing nearby and change the height (higher and lower so that mobs spawn and despawn).

Observed results:

In the biome (jungle) where wolves should not spawn, wolves spawn.

Expected results:

Biome specific mobs such as parrots and wolves to be limited to their appropriate biomes; jungles and forests/taigas, respectfully.

This location appears to be on next to a forrest.  It might be useful to get the block location of where you've seen the wolves spawn.

I've tried using

/fill ~-15 ~-15 ~-15 ~+16 ~+16 ~+16 air 0 replace leaves

to remove the leaves and

/kill @e

to remove the mobs and wait for spawn. But every wolf spawn I saw turned out to be in the forrest biome.

If you can get a screenshot of the "pack" on the same block just after they spawn that would be useful in nailing down which biome they are spawning in.

I checked the block on the java biome and it is jungle, but the adjacent block is a forest. If I cannot find a more accurate example, this report can be closed as CR.
