Device: fire (latest gen, no literally that's all Amazon called it)
When trying to connect a controller to Minecraft: Pocket Edition (regular Xbox One controller, with a OTG cable) it tries to connect to the nearest Xbox One console.

Affected in 0.14.3 and 0.15.0 build 1
